1. Independent creator status You are an independent business. You are not our employee, agent or partner. You act in your own name when you sell to Students.
2. Course ownership You keep ownership of your Creator Content and your relationship with your Students.
3. Copyright responsibilities You must have permission to use every video, image, document, music track, logo, question and other material you upload. You confirm that your Creator Content does not infringe anyone's rights.
4. AI-generated material You must review, edit and approve anything produced by AI Tools before you publish it. You are responsible for AI-assisted material you publish as if you had written it yourself.
5. Accuracy of educational content You are responsible for the accuracy, safety and suitability of your courses, especially in fields such as health, beauty and aesthetics, fitness, food safety, finance and law.
6. Student contracts You must provide Students with clear information before purchase: who you are, what the course includes, price, access period, any assessments, refund and cancellation rights, and how to complain.
7. Course sales You set your own prices. Course sales are made between you and the Student.
8. Payments and chargebacks You are responsible for collecting payment for your courses, confirming payments recorded in your studio, and handling any chargebacks or disputes from your Students.
9. Refund responsibilities You must honour Students' statutory rights and any refund promises you make.
10. Tax obligations You are responsible for registering for and paying any taxes due on your sales, including income tax and VAT.
11. Marketing and advertising Your marketing must be legal, decent, honest and truthful and comply with the CAP Code and consumer protection law. Do not publish fake reviews, testimonials or statistics.
12. Regulatory and accreditation claims Do not claim a course is accredited, regulated, CPD-certified, endorsed or leads to a recognised qualification unless that is true and you can prove it. learn.co.uk does not accredit courses. Certificates produced using the Platform are issued by you.
13. Student data protection You are the controller of your Students' personal data. You must comply with UK GDPR and give Students an appropriate privacy notice. Our Data Processing Agreement governs how we process that data for you.
14. Content removal We may remove or disable content that we reasonably believe is unlawful, infringing or in breach of our policies. Where appropriate, we will tell you why and give you an opportunity to respond.
15. Platform suspension We may suspend your academy for serious breaches, non-payment, or where needed to protect Students, other users or the Platform.
16. Account termination Either of us may end this agreement as set out in the Terms and Conditions. Students' existing access may end when your academy closes; you remain responsible for any obligations to them.
17. Data export Before closing your academy you can export records available in your studio, such as your student list. Contact ⟦not yet provided⟧ for help.
18. Licence to us You grant us the licence described in the Terms and Conditions to host and display your Creator Content so we can run the Platform. We will not sell your courses as our own.
