1. How our AI tools work learn.co.uk offers AI Tools that can: - turn text from a PDF into draft exam questions; - transcribe the speech in a video and suggest checkpoint questions; - suggest marks and feedback for markers to consider; - narrate lesson text as audio.
PDF text and video audio are extracted in your browser and the relevant text or audio is sent to AI model providers through the Lovable AI gateway. Results come back to you as drafts.
2. Your responsibilities You choose what to submit and whether to use the output. You must have the right to submit the material.
3. Reviewing AI-generated material **You must review, correct and approve all AI-generated content before publishing it to Students.** AI drafts are never published automatically.
4. Accuracy limitations AI can be wrong, out of date, biased, or confidently state things that are not true. It may miss important safety information. Transcripts may contain errors and do not include word-level timings.
5. Copyright considerations Only submit material you own or are licensed to use. AI output may resemble existing material; check it before publishing.
6. Ownership and usage rights As between you and us, you own the content you submit and, to the extent the law allows, the output generated for you. We do not claim ownership of your AI-assisted courses.
7. Third-party AI processing AI requests are processed by third-party model providers (including OpenAI and Google) through the Lovable AI gateway. Their terms on data use and retention apply to that processing; these must be confirmed before this policy is approved.
8. Personal information Do not submit special category data (such as health information) or unnecessary personal data about Students to AI Tools.
9. Academic and educational accuracy Check that AI questions have one clearly correct answer, match your teaching and are fair.
10. Professional and regulated content Where your course covers regulated or safety-critical topics, a suitably qualified person must review AI-assisted material.
11. Prohibited AI-generated material Do not use AI Tools to create unlawful, harmful, deceptive, discriminatory or infringing content, or content that impersonates real people.
12. Human decisions AI marking suggestions are only suggestions. A person makes every marking decision.
